Welcome to my website. My name is Dan Brinkman and I am an amateur photographer. (For my real job, I work as a psychologist and have a private practice in Lynden, WA.) I have been interested in photography for a long time. Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I was shooting slide film with a Canon AE-1. I put that camera aside for many years and woke up recently to discover cameras were now digital. With the encouragement of my kid’s sports and our family travels I bought some new equipment to document these events. This led to an interest in high school sports photography, especially at Meridian High School in Whatcom County, Washington where my children attended and my wife works. For the past few years, I have helped to document the events at that school.

As I continue to photograph various events, I recently accepted an invitation to join a pool of photographers with the Northwest Athletic Conference that include the schools of Whatcom and Skagit Counties. So, some of the events I shoot at will be displayed on that site instead: NWCAthletics.com

If you are interested in purchasing some of these photos, you can do that. Prices and sizes have been modified this year to be more consistent with the other photographers in the area. Part of the proceeds from sales of Meridian sports photos will be donated to the Meridian Public School Foundation for student scholarships.
